Ultimate Frisbee is currently played by over 800,000 people in the United States. There are over 550 High School teams, 1,200 College teams, and several thousand at the adult level. St. Johnsbury Academy has supported a Varsity Ultimate program for the past 3 years. Comprised of 50 players and 3 coaches, the three STJA teams play an annual spring season of 40 games across New England. Every May the school hosts 30+ teams at their annual Spring invitational, which draws teams from 8 states and several Canadian provinces. On Saturday, STJA Varsity Boys Coach, Josh Seamon, will be leading a demonstration of various aspects of the dynamic aspect of Ultimate. Along with several members of his Varsity boys team he will cover how the game is played, what makes it different from other sports, and where it's heading. Do work!
